As the founder of Globally Empowered, I have been privileged to witness the extraordinary power of bringing young people together and truly listening to their voices. Since 2019, we have provided a platform where youth can express their views on issues that matter locally, nationally and globally.

Importantly, there is no cost to schools or the students themselves for participation in Globally Empowered; we believe this is a foundational principle.

What began as a humble initiative has grown into a vibrant global movement led by young people themselves. Inspired by the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals, they have transformed ideas into meaningful action, leading sustainable projects that create positive change within their homes, schools, communities and internationally.

Throughout this journey, they have taught us the greatest lessons about equity, inclusion and leadership. Their compassion and unwavering commitment to being the difference have created a genuine sense of belonging among educators and students from Argentina, India, Kenya, Liberia, Malaysia, Philippines, Nigeria, South Africa, Türkiye, Uganda, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Globally Empowered is far more than an organisation or an online platform—it is a global family. It is a community where every young person is valued, heard, and encouraged to discover their purpose. Together, they are nurturing confident, compassionate and competent global citizens who are equipped to lead with integrity, serve with selflessness to create a more inclusive, peaceful and sustainable world for generations to come. Today, this platform is led and mananged by them and it has been an honour placing it in their capable hands since January 2026.
