Globally Empowered acts as the Data Controller for personal data collected through our website and registration channels.

Our website is built on and hosted by Odoo S.A. (headquartered in Belgium, European Union). Because our hosting provider operates within the EU, all website data, form transactions, and system databases are maintained in European data centres adhering to GDPR data residency, security, and ISO 27001 standards.

We collect only the personal information strictly necessary to facilitate educational events, verify school authenticities, and coordinate global youth summits:

  • School & Educator Details: Name, official school email address, job title/role, institution name, country/location, and contact telephone number.

  • Student Delegate Information: Student name, age group/educational stage, school affiliation, and conference roles (submitted exclusively by verified school representatives or with explicit parental/guardian permission).

  • Technical & Analytics Data: IP addresses, browser types, device specifications, and standard session cookies logged automatically via the Odoo platform for security and performance management.


3. Collection Methods

Personal information is collected via:

  • Registration Forms: Official registration links (including Google Forms) used by teachers and students to sign up for conferences and events.

  • Website Contact Forms: Direct inquiries submitted via our contact page (/contactus).

  • Automated Odoo Logs: System log data gathered automatically during website browsing.


4. Legal Basis for Processing

Under GDPR Article 6, we process personal data under the following legal bases:

  • Performance of a Contract (Art. 6(1)(b)): Processing necessary to coordinate conference attendance and deliver scheduled events.

  • Legitimate Interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): Processing necessary to maintain platform security, prevent unauthorized access, and ensure event safety.

5. Youth Safeguarding & Communication Restrictions

  • No Direct Student Interaction: The Globally Empowered website does not contain peer-to-peer messaging, direct chat features, public profile creation, or unmoderated student discussion spaces.

  • Supervised Virtual Environments: All youth video conferences take place in structured, password-protected virtual rooms continuously monitored by adult facilitators and school advisors.


6. Data Sharing & Third-Party Processors

We never sell or trade personal data to third parties. We share data only with essential technical processors who comply with GDPR requirements:

  • Google Workspace / Forms: Form collection under Google Cloud Data Processing Terms.
