Age is Just a Number and Leadership is Beyond It

I have always hated the word small or little , not because I got it wrong on my first grade spelling test but due to how it was always taught to me . 

Hey, I am Manasvi Patangia , 15-year-old tenth grader from Choithram School India and also the proud Chairperson of the Globally Empowered Youth Steering Committee and I have historically been cross with words like 'small' and 'little' as they were always taught to me as being inferior or smaller than the world and I despised that . Even as a child, I loved being called 'big girl' since that word small always hit a nerve . Eventually I grew up commonly hearing the phrase that 'these small kids could never lead the world in present' or 'you are just a kid' in my vernacular , the people and even the TV shows that I love to watch  and it struck me that I was not the only one hearing this being told again and again . That's when I realized how these harmless phrases defined the young people around me and I could imagine the impact it must've had on them, especially those who lacked awareness of leadership and their basic rights and decided to do something . In my quest to do this 'something' I came across this wonderful organization , Globally Empowered and Ms. Jasmane who not only empowered me but countless others across the globe like me who needed a reminder that being a 'little girl' is not going to stop me from becoming the leader and that belief is what pushed me to be who I am today.
